Tipik Necklace || Walo

Inspired by the Cebuano word Tipik, each necklace features a unique combination of natural coral, pearl, or shell sourced from Cebu, paired with carefully selected gemstones. At its centre sits Rahina’s signature Hirz amulet.

Each necklace is one of one and will never be reproduced. Each piece will find its own custodian, making it something that belongs uniquely to them.

The Hirz amulet is created using lost-wax casting, with details hand-soldered using traditional Omani silversmithing techniques. Each necklace is assembled by hand on 49-strand stainless steel wire with a nylon coating and finished with sterling silver elements.

The Tipik Collection

Tipik is a Cebuano word meaning a small fraction of time, or a portion of something.

The collection was born after a year in Cebu, Philippines, taking time to explore, reconnect, and recuperate. It became an opportunity to return to the drawing board and, in many ways, return to the beginning of Rahina: sitting at the studio table, working with the hands, stringing beads and experimenting with materials.

Tipik brings together Dhofari and Cebuano roots; natural materials gathered in Cebu meet the Hirz amulet, a protection amulet rooted in Dhofari heritage, creating a meeting point between two places that are deeply personal to Rahina.

The collection is also a disruption to the status quo of imitation, mass production, and economies of scale. Each necklace is made as a one-of-one, never to be reproduced, a piece that belongs to its own custodian and no one else.

In a world where so much is made to be replicated, Tipik is an invitation to choose the uncommon: to have something that is distinctly your own, shaped by individual taste rather than the pull of the crowd.
